Attack of the Clones & Revenge of the Sith: With her bold red skin and striped head-tails, Shaak Ti is one of the most conspicuous members of the Jedi Order. A Togruta from the planet Shili, Shaak Ti is a formidable warrior. Her horns, or montrals, are hollow and sense space ultrasonically while the distruptive patterning of her head-tails, or lekku, confuse predators. As with certain other Jedi like Aayla Secura and Luminara Unduli, Shaak Ti forgoes the traditional Jedi robes, instead choosing to wear a black top, finely pleated skirts, and a leather skirt panel underneath her brown cloak.
Design: While designing this character, the concept artists orginally gave Shaak Ti a red veil covering the lower half of her face, but this eventually evolved into her distinctive red skin. Her Jedi robe is constructed from brown fine-wool with silk-seersucker hanging tabs, while her intricate leather skirt panel is hand-tooled and painted.
Note: Two different versions of Shaak Ti's death where filmed for Revenge of the Sith. The first has her dying at the hands of General Grievous and is a deleted scene on the RotS DVD. In the second death, Anakin kills her during the attack on the Jedi temple; this scene appears in the novelization of RotS. Despite both these scenes being filmed (see pictures below), neither is considered canon by Lucasfilm: canonically, Shaak Ti is one of the few Jedi still alive at the end of Revenge of the Sith.
