Star Wars: Fit for a Queen

Attack of the Clones & Revenge of the Sith: Luminara Unduli is an exotic-looking Jedi Master from Mirial with large blue eyes, a lower lip permanently stained black, and olive skin. She has small tattoos on her knuckles and interlocking black diamond tattoos on her chin, Mirialian symbols of her devotion to physical discipline. Luminara's Jedi robes consist of a tight-fitting black top, a full black skirt with three layers of horizontal trim near the bottom, and a brown and black patterned cloak. A leather belt, an intricately-detailed leather tabard, and matching leather gauntlets accent her outfit, while an elaborate brooch holds her cloak on. Her brown headdress conceals extrasensory organs sensitive to dryness.

Design: Luminara Unduli's appearance was developed by concept artist Dermot Power, and she is a perfect example of the flourishing, diverse Jedi Order of the prequels. She was played by actress/model Mary Oyaya who interpreted Luminara's appearance as a "mystical look which can be taken for deep knowledge, determination, decisiveness, insight and all qualities that can be expected of a Jedi Master." Mary enjoyed the softness and comfortability of her eight-piece costume, though her blue contacts took some getting used to. Her beautiful makeup took about two hours to apply.

Note: Mary Oyaya had an official site for a while, but it has since been taken down. However, most of it (minus most of the pictures) can still be accessed through web archives here. She talks a lot about her experience in Star Wars, so it's definitely worth a look!
